Course Objectives

  • Focus on substantive criminal law and criminal procedure
  • Reflect on Restorative Justice trends
  • Basic principles necessary to understand what is needed to charge a criminal offense and what elements must be proven
  • A paralegal’s role in the criminal law field, with a focus on discovery and trial preparation
