Course Description

Facility managers are called upon to estimate and manage capital and operational budgets as well as support facility-related financial decisions. This course provides insight into the financial planning and management roles of the facilities manager.

Topics: Financial accounting principles and practices; balance sheet and operating statement analysis; capital and operational budgeting; deferred maintenance and budget justification; charge-backs and allocations; facility budget factors in leasing; life cycle analysis; time value of money; capital decision-making; benchmarking.
